How the stud-adjusted total is calculated

Each player's value is the FantasyCalc market value for your chosen format. The total shown for each side is the sum of value × (1 + 0.35 × (value / top value)²), where "top value" is the highest value on the current list. Elite players earn a bonus, so one star outweighs several depth pieces. This reflects how managers actually price 2-for-1 trades. The "Raw" line shows the plain sum.

The verdict says "Fair" when the two totals differ by less than 5%. Otherwise it names the side ahead and by how much, as a percentage of the larger total.

      How dynasty trade values work

Dynasty values estimate what a player is worth to a manager who keeps him for several seasons. They weigh current production, age, injury risk, draft capital and how many years the player should stay productive. A 23-year-old running back on a rookie contract often carries more value than a 30-year-old receiver who had a better season, because the younger player's career is longer. Market values from large leagues reflect what managers actually accept in trades, which is why they are more useful than simple rankings.

Picks are valued the same way. A future first-round pick is priced from the expected slot of that draft and the year it lands. Early picks in the current draft class are typically worth more than later picks from future years, and a second-round pick is usually worth well under half of a first. Our calculator lists picks alongside players so you can compare a package of picks with a single starter.

      Superflex vs 1QB

In a standard 1QB league you start one quarterback, so quarterbacks are plentiful and cheap. In a Superflex league you can start two quarterbacks, or a quarterback in the flex spot. Demand for passers rises, and top quarterbacks become some of the most valuable assets in the league. A trade that looks fair in 1QB can be lopsided once you switch to Superflex, so always set the format first. The Superflex toggle in the calculator reloads values for that format.

      How to use the calculator

      • Set format, scoring, league size and mode at the top. These change every value.
      • Search for a player or pick in the Team A or Team B box. Type a name, position or team and choose it from the list.
      • Remove a player with the × button. Totals and the verdict update immediately.
      • Use "Copy shareable link" to send the exact trade. The link stores both rosters and your settings.

Compare totals rather than raw sums when one side has more pieces. The stud bonus is designed to show that consolidating depth into a single elite player has a real cost.

      Frequently asked questions

Is this dynasty trade calculator free?

Yes. The calculator, rankings and all pages are free. It runs in your browser and needs no account.

Where do the player values come from?

Values come from FantasyCalc's public market data for the format you select. If the live feed is unavailable, the page falls back to a built-in snapshot and says so.

      What does Superflex mean?

Superflex leagues let you start two quarterbacks, or a quarterback in a flex slot. Quarterbacks gain value as a result, which is why the same trade can be fair in one format and unbalanced in the other.

      How is the verdict calculated?

Each side's total includes a stud bonus based on player value. If the totals are within 5%, the trade is called fair. Otherwise the page shows which team wins and the margin in percent.

Can I share a trade with my league mates?

Yes. The address bar updates as you build the trade. Copy the link and anyone who opens it sees the same players and settings.
